the memories of my aunt started in 1992, i was only 5 then.
she and uncle jibade were still courting then. i remember everyday after work, they will both sit in my granparents backyard and jist. it was then i became fond of uncle jibade. he used to call me his small wife and i loved being around him.
april 3rd 1993 was your wedding. i remember that day so well. i was your little bride but i was ill on that day so couldnt do much.
i remember you giving bith to damilola in st Nicholas, when we went to see you in the hospital, we werent allowed to go in cos it wasnt visiting hours yet. on the day of your death, i wished i was going to the hospital to congratulate you for goodnews. i wish i could rewind time back.
my aunty loved her nieces and nephews too much. it was pure undiluted love. she took each and everyone of us as hers. our problems were hers. she was always here for us. we practically saw her everyday because our houses werent far from each other.
do i need to start saying how she loved her husband and kids? their marriage was one everybody wanted.
aunty funmi was the only one i could send to beg my dad for something. she knew how to convice him and my dad always knew she was right.
she was a wonderful cook, she would never forget our birthdays. she made us know what boxing day was. she always gave us an xmas and birthday present. she never failed to shower us with gifts everytime she went on her numerous trips. she had a beutiful heart. one of the most beautiful i have ever seen. she was the perfect example of the proverbs 31 woman.
need i go on? words will never be enough.......
i love you so much aunty. keep resting with the angels because thats what you are. an angel. i promise to make you proud always because i know thats what you wanted........

You always remembered everyones birthday no matter where you were in the world, and always had a gift kept in your car till the day we get to see no matter where you saw us (neices & nephews ) you brought out the gifts like santa claus on christmas with the perfect smile.
